August Selection: The Aviator's Wife

I love when I put a book on hold at the library and it comes up quickly for me to read! I've been wanting to read The Aviator's Wife for quite some time now.

I first read about it in the newspaper one lazy Sunday. I love historical fiction so I thought it might be the perfect book for me.  I'm a couple chapters in....and I realized that THIS is the book I want to pick for the August Book Club selection!

With both of my kids in school all day, it looks like I'm going to have a lot more time to read!  I'm so excited about this that I can barely contain myself.

If you would like to read The Aviator's Wife: A Novel with me, then please leave me a comment telling me when you rode in an airplane for the first time.

I will take entires until Wednesday, August 21st and then a winner will be selected!  Only readers from the US please.

  1. The first time I flew in an airplane was when I was 16... I was flying from North Carolina to Arizona, had one stopover in Denver. I found out I loved flying! :D

  2. The first flight I can remember is flying to and from Jamaica when I was four. On the flight back to Birmingham, Neil Armstrong made his historical walk on the moon. To this day I can still remember listening to it on the plane's intercom system, and I remember President Nixon's call to the astronauts. (July 20, 1969)

  5. First time was for a work conference alone to Memphis, TN when I was about 20. It was a puddle-jumper and I cried the entire way there! It was a miserable trip.
